1-26 Count Block and Punching

This drill will help you remember to always follow up a block with punches, never stop at the block alone!

When counting it works well in a cadence of 3 counts at a time, so “block punch punch” “1, 2, 3” etc.


  1. Right inward block

  2. Left punch

  3. Right punch

  4. Left inward block

  7. Right outward block

  10. Left outward block

  11. Right punch

  12. Left punch

  13. Right upward block

  14. Left punch

  20. Left punch

  21. Right punch

  22. Left downward block

  23. Right punch

  24. Left punch

  25. Cross left arm over right and double elbow strike

  26. Bring right fist to left hand
