Intermediate Kata - Running Tiger

  1. Low left grab: step out with right foot into a horse stance & break grab with left hand strike fingers down, right vertical punch to the face.

  2. Left punch: 45 with left foot into a horse stance, block left punch with right hand & poke to the eyes.

  3. Right punch: block right punch with left hand & right corkscrew punch to the face.

  4. Right punch: step forward with right foot into a side horse stance & block right punch with both hands, right hammer fist to the groin, right vertical punch to the face.

  5. Left punch: 45 back with right foot into a horse stance & block left punch with right hand, right rip to the eyes, right back fist to the chest.

  6. Right punch: block right punch with left hand & grab wrist, right front kick to the groin & step forward into a kenpo stance, right poke to the eyes.

  7. Right punch: step forward with left foot into a horse stance & block right punch with right hand & grab wrist, pull arm down & right downward palm to the back of the head, twist left into a kenpo stance & right back kick to the head & step forward into a kenpo stance.

  8. Right punch: twist left & 45 with left foot into a horse stance, block right punch with left hand & grab wrist, step back with right foot into a horse stance & pull attacker into a right side palm to the face.

  9. Right punch: twist left into a kenpo stance, block right punch with left hand & right poke to the eyes, step forward with right foot into a horse stance & right vertical palm to the chest.

  10. Left & right punch: cross left foot behind right foot & step out with right foot into a horse stance, block left & right punch with right hand, right vertical punch to the chest, right vertical chop to the chest.

  11. Left & right punch: step forward with right foot into a kenpo stance & block left punch from center out with right crane, block right punch from center out with left crane, right & left vertical elbow strike to the chest, twist left into a horse stance & right hammer fist to the groin, shuffle back & right vertical punch to the face, right foot to attention.

  12. Right punch: step forward with left foot & drop to right knee, right vertical punch to the groin.

  13. Right punch: cross right foot in front of left foot, block right punch with right hand & grab wrist, step out with left foot into a horse stance & pull arm down, right palm to back of the head.

  14. Right punch: block right punch with left upward block, step forward with right foot into a kenpo stance & right palm across the face, right rip across the face, right undercut punch to the chest, cross left foot behind right foot & right horizontal elbow strike to the head.

  15. Right punch: twist left into a kenpo stance & block right punch with left hand & grab, right undercut punch to the groin up to the chest & back fist to the nose.

  16. Left undercut & right punch: Twist left into a horse stance & hook left undercut punch to the right with right hand, block right punch with left hand, step forward with right foot into a kenpo stance & right palm to the groin, cross left foot behind right foot & right horizontal elbow strike to the head, twist left into a kenpo stance & double horizontal elbow strike to the chest, rotate hands to the front.

  17. Neck choke: break choke with both hands from the inside out, double poke to the eyes, double dragon fist to the chest, double poke to the throat with the thumbs, right side palm to the throat & left side palm to the chest.

  18. Right punch: twist left into a horse stance & block right punch with right hand, left side chop to the throat, right poke to the eyes/ step forward with right foot into a kenpo stance & right vertical palm to the face, cross left foot behind right foot & right horizontal elbow strike to the head, twist left into a horse stance & drop right fist to the stomach.

  19. Right front kick: step back with right foot into a cat stance & block right front kick with left hand, right back fist to the leg, step forward with right foot into a kenpo stance & right undercut punch to the groin up to the chin, cross left foot behind right foot, twist left into a kenpo stance & double horizontal elbow strike to the chest, rotate hands to the front.

  20. Right & left front kick: step to the right with right foot into a kenpo stance & hook right front kick with left hand, twist left into a kenpo stance & hook left front kick with right hand, step forward with right foot into a kenpo stance & right palm to the groin, twist left & step forward with right foot into a horse stance, right slash to the eyes palm up, left hand palm down, resume a horse stance position.
